Opening of the Caramel Malt Cathedral

Weyermann, Bamberg

On the invitation of the Weyermann company, we traveled to Bamberg on August 31, 2023. Malt has been produced and roasted in the company’s historic building since 1904, and with the completion of the construction work, it was ensured that malt and roasted malt could continue to be produced at the highest level. The Weyermann family expressed their gratitude to all the participating companies and provided all the guests with a detailed behind-the-scenes look.

We were involved in the project with the renovation of the germination boxes. The existing, historically protected building presented many challenges, but we successfully brought the germination boxes up to date with minimal issues. The Lausmann company’s facility continues to be a guarantee of malt quality at the highest level for one of the world’s leading companies in specialty malts.
